Restaurant settings — step by step guide

Follow the steps below to correctly configure your restaurant profile in Menivo.

Log in to your Menivo account

Access menivo.ro and authenticate with the email address and password set during registration. If you don't have an account yet, consult our guide on how to create an account and register on the Menivo digital menu platform — the process takes under 2 minutes.

💡 Pro tip: Use an email address you have permanent access to — you will receive notifications about orders and reservations on it.

Navigate to the "My Restaurant" section

From the administration panel, select your desired restaurant from the available list or press the "Edit" button next to the existing restaurant. If you haven't created a restaurant yet, first go through the guide How to create your restaurant on the Menivo QR menu platform.

💡 Pro tip: You can manage multiple restaurants from a single account, depending on the subscription plan you choose.

Complete the restaurant name and description

In the restaurant settings form, the first required field is Name (RO) — this appears on the digital menu and in the QR code. You can also add an English version in the Name (EN) field, useful if you receive tourist customers. The Description (RO) field is optional, but recommended — briefly present the concept of the establishment, atmosphere or house specialties. The description must have a minimum of 30 characters.

💡 Pro tip: A well-written description, 80–150 characters, increases profile attractiveness and improves customer experience when scanning the QR menu.

Set operating hours

The Schedule (RO) field is required. Enter opening hours in a clear and consistent format, for example: Monday–Friday: 10:00–22:00 | Saturday–Sunday: 11:00–23:00. If your restaurant also receives tourists, complete the Schedule (EN) field for a complete bilingual experience.

💡 Pro tip: Update the schedule whenever there are seasonal or holiday changes — customers often check this information before coming.

Upload logo and cover image

Add your restaurant logo (JPG, PNG or WebP file, recommended square) from the dedicated section. The Menivo platform automatically resizes the image and converts it to WebP format for faster digital menu loading. You can also add a cover image that appears in the header of your public profile — choose an attractive photo of the establishment or a representative dish.

💡 Pro tip: Use images with a resolution of at least 800×800 px for the logo and 1920×600 px for the cover, for a professional appearance on all devices.

Configure slug (custom URL)

The slug is the part of the URL that uniquely identifies your restaurant — for example: menivo.ro/my-restaurant. This is generated automatically from the restaurant name, but you can change it manually in the Slug (RO) field. If you also offer an English menu, complete the Slug (EN) field. Note: the slug must be unique on the platform.

💡 Pro tip: Choose a short slug, without diacritics and easy to remember — this link will be embedded in the QR code you display in your restaurant.

Save changes

After completing all desired fields, press the "Save" button at the bottom of the form. Changes are immediately reflected in your restaurant's public profile and digital menu accessed through the QR code. You can return anytime to update restaurant settings.

💡 Pro tip: Check the public menu after saving by scanning the QR code with your phone, to make sure everything looks exactly as you want.

What you need to know before configuring restaurant settings

A few important requirements and notes for correct and complete configuration.

"Name (RO)" field is required and can contain a maximum of 255 characters — enter the complete and official name of the establishment.
"Schedule (RO)" field is also required — customers will see this information directly on the digital menu page.
Description (RO), if completed, must have at least 30 characters to be accepted by the system.
Logo and cover must be image files (JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP) — the platform automatically converts them to WebP for optimal display speed.
The slug must be unique on the platform; if the chosen slug is already used by another restaurant, you will receive an error notification.
English fields (Name EN, Description EN, Schedule EN, Slug EN) are optional, but recommended for restaurants serving international customers.
